An art learned by hand, one patient stroke at a time.

Mehnaz did not learn Mehendi in a classroom. She learned it by studying designs late into the night, watching every technique she could find, and practising — again and again — on the willing hands of relatives and family friends.

Those early hands became brides. Brides became weddings. And somewhere along the way, Mehnaz realised that the same patience that shaped her own hand could shape others. Today she creates bridal, event and custom Mehendi across Kolkata, and teaches aspiring artists through Mehnaz Mehendi Classes — giving her students the guidance she once had to find on her own.
